About the Item
A fine 18th century, late Ayutthaya period Siamese (Thailand) life size standing Buddha temple figure in carved and gilded teak. The base of the figure is a tapered plug fashioned to sit firmly within a temple niche. A box stand has been created around this, but the work requires placement against a supporting wall.
