Midcentury fairground figure An extraordinary handcrafted mid-20th century fairground dodgems/go cart figure in the form of a policeman. Directing traffic flow to the with one arm extended, this figure is made from sectioned wood and metal still with all its original paint. Showing a lovely folk-art quirky decorative look and sculptural appeal. This item stands alone with a detachable arm. Size in inches: H 22” x W 16” x D 7” Origin: Germany Period: Mid-20th century Material: Heavy wood and toleware Condition: This item is completely solid in structure and form, fading of surface areas is present with original flaked paint and age wear / damage to the wood and metal sections as shown. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas of this piece therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment.
