About the Item

A very nice vintage neon sign advertising the Hobart Food Machine company . Founded in 1897 making motors in Troy Ohio and turning the use of their motors into running food machines . Starting in 1902 using them to grind meats and the first to grind coffee in a motorized mill . The sign was probably used in the food business because of the plexiglass cover over the neon to prevent dust and particles , having a transformer and pull string switch . Red and green neon provides the light on a black painted metal surface perfect for your kitchen , coffee shop or a restaurant .
