About the Item
This is one of the best signs I've ever had. It's 10 feet 8 inches long by 19 inches by 5 inches thick. The letters are painted in the negative, just like an X-ray. The letters are "white" and the background is black, but all very faded together, with a green border. The thin metal of the sign was painted on the reverse of another much larger sign and mounted on a old wooden frame. The sign came from a business in La Crescenta, California. The ends of the sign are rounded. We are not sure if they were advertising a very early use of medical X-Rays or the X-Ray Lighting Company. The subject is unique, the look is just right and the sign is very early.
