A deftly carved Elephant Mask head dress, often erroneously called a mask as it is actually worn on the top of the head in Secret Society dances by those close to the King. A single piece carving with fine stylized design having a straight trunk and finely curved tusks. Power references to the strength, tenacity and force of the African Elephant have been coveted by tribesman for centuries.
Dimensions: 5.5” wide by 4” deep by 19.5” high.
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age include slight wear and finish losses and fading mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is powerful and strong.
