About the Item

Wonderful ceiling hanging lamp, chandelier, made of hand-blown glass and bronze, made by the famous Barovier glass factory in Murano, Italy, in the 1940s. The lamp impresses with its reduced but very delicate design. A typical Barovian form - a light source surrounded by a glass flower is framed by a glass-encased metal ring, which then ends in a glass rod upwards into the canopy (also made from glass). The glass flower is the original one – this is often replaced! The execution is high end quality. The glass tubes that cover the metal rods are twisted - incredibly precise and difficult to make. Only glass masters could make this shape by hand in this consistently high quality. Measurements approx.: total height including canopy 25,20 in – 64 cm, width 19,29 in – 49 cm, depth 7,87 in – 20 cm. Barovier is one of the oldest still working glass blowing families in Murano, Italy. The ceiling chandelier can be hung up immediately, the exceptionally high, solid quality makes every room shine.
