About the Item

A striking Italian 19th century Louis XV st. gilt metal chandelier. The chandelier is centered by an elegant and unique reserve of three floral plates leading to the beautifully shaped cage with spiraled designs and beautiful scrolled movements. The twelve arms are spread over two tiers each displaying large leaves and lovely floral bobeches. The scrolled cage leads upwards with additional most decorative scrolled movements to the striking foliate top crown. *Shade shown for display purposes only, sold separately.

The six arm chandelier is centered by a beautiful solid crystal bottom ball below superb gilt metal acanthus leaves amidst a stunning array of cut crystal pendants and a fine wrap around beaded band. Each elegantly curved arm is adorned with kite shaped and tear drop shaped crystal pendants leading to charming floral bobeches.
