Late 19th Century Carved Wooden Lüsterweibchen Four-Light Chandelier

About the Item

Unique and adorable late 19th or very early 20th-century smaller-size chandelier - Lüsterweibchen. Finely hand-carved from linden wood, a unique piece, made by a master wood carver and painter. This excellent historical piece of art is very well-conserved for its age. Of course, with signs of aging that underline its authentical nature. This antique chandelier characterizes the craftsmanship of the old masters. Fully made of wood - the antlers are carved from wood as well, this Lüsterweibchen is the first object of this kind we are facing in our experience as antique dealers. As told by the previous owner, it comes from a Bavarian manor. A real eye-catcher in any room, this beautiful light fixture could be displayed in a girl's room. Thanks to its dimensions, it fits in a space with a lower ceiling and still makes the real expression of an impressive historical Lüsterweibchen. That is a really rare object of this kind. The light fixture is hung on a chain suspension and canopy, that is made of metal and brass, mounted on wooden antlers with four sockets for E14-size light bulbs. Dimensions circa: Height 62 cm / 24.4 in, width 37 cm / 14.56 in, depth 41 cm / 16.14 in. The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is installed by a qualified electrician.
