About the Item

Large Neoclassical Style Carved Oakwood and Alabaster Chandelier, Germany, circa the 1920s. This impressive Neoclassical style chandelier in oak is finely hand-crafted, made in the first third of the 20th Century. Impeccable details of carved leaves are seen throughout the chandelier, especially in the six arms, and in the base, imposing canopy, and ornate finale. Six adorable white alabaster lampshades with darker edges in the shape of flames. This antique wooden chandelier will definitely be a statement piece in a large room or hall and is sure to be the focal point of any room in the house. Six new sockets for E27 (E26) size light bulbs. In good antique condition with some signs of aging and use. Since the alabaster lampshades are handmade, there are slight visual differences. The light fixture is in complete working order, but as with all vintage or antique lighting, we would always suggest it is tested and fitted by a qualified electrician.
