Mid-Century Danish Nyhavn Maxi Pendant Lamp for Louis Poulsen, 1970s

About the Item

Nyhavn pendulum from the Danish manufacturer Poulsen after a design by Alfred Homann and Ole V. Kjær from the 70s. Here in the rare maxi version. This large version of the classic Nyhavn convinces with its sheer size with a diameter of almost 60 cm. Striking is the flat shade, which ensures a particularly wide radiation of light downwards. The body of the lamp closes upwards in the shape of a dome. In between, it is broken up into glare rings, which are connected with webs. The heavy luminaire is suspended from a wire cable. The supply cable is guided in loops with strain relief. The wire rope has a length of about 380 cm. Thus, this pendulum is perfect for very high rooms. This piece has an attribution mark. Up to 250V (Europe/UK Standard). The wiring of this item may be original and might need replacement, if not specified otherwise.
