Rare Machine Age floor lamp designed by Donald Deskey for Deskey Vollmer Inc. circa 1930’s. This example shows considerable wear to the finish, a slight dent in the arm element, and general signs of age and use, it is selling in as found condition. While the lamp is imperfect, it’s scarcity and importance makes it a worthwhile addition to your Art Deco, Machine Age, Modernist collection.
The top has a disk form finial, as opposed to the more commonly seen ball top. We believe this is original to the piece, increasing its rarity, perhaps it is even a, or the, prototype.
