Deskey Vollmer

Extremely rare pair slipper / lounge chairs designed by Donald Deskey for Deskey-Vollmer. Originally out of major dept store in new York City, Retain original mohair upholstery.

A large and impressive pair of Bronze Andirons, these have been atttributed to the work of Donald Deskey and Deskey-Vollmer.

The lamp comes with a boxy parchment shade which compliments the design of the lamp. Manufactured by Deskey-Vollmer Inc in New York, the lamp is one of only three known to exist.

Trained in art and architecture, he began with commercial displays before co-founding Deskey-Vollmer, specializing in Art Deco furnishings.
