Pair of 20th Century Alabaster, Gilt Metal and Iron Floor Lamps

About the Item

Pair of 20th century alabaster, gilt metal and iron floor lamps Continental, 20th Century Height 185cm, diameter 40cm Inspired by features of Greek architecture and made from a selection of high quality materials, the pair of floor lamps would add a modern touch inspired by history to an interior space. The lamp bowls and stands are carved from bright white alabaster coloured with naturally occurring light pink and cream colouration. A slender and long stem creates a connection between the bowls and stands. Made from shining gilt metal and patinated iron, a contrast of industrial and elegant imagery is created. The gilt metal stem is surrounded by patinated iron frames, reminiscent in shape to ionic columns found in Greek architecture. They are adorned with further gilt metal detailing adding subtle design details. Four patinated iron feet support the lighting. The sophisticated design would add a touch of elegance to one’s living space.
