About the Item

Large sunburst ceiling light fixture in gold leaf gilt iron, France, 1930s-1940s French wrought iron bronze gilt large sunburst flush mount or pendant with nails or spikes frame. A highly decorative sunburst ceiling light fixture with frontal light featuring iron spikes in two sizes as sun rays surrounding the central sphere and a neoclassical design with Art Deco accents in transition to Brutalist style. It has a terrific aged patina in bronze-gilt color. The pointed iron spikes make this piece very sculptural. It can be placed flush mounted or as a pendant hanging from a chain at the desired height. Choosing bulbs in different style and sizes you can change its appearance as you want.
