Pair of French 19th Century Neo-Classical St. Bronze and Ormolu Sconces

About the Item

A striking and most unique pair of French 19th century Neo-Classical st. patinated bronze and ormolu sconces. Each two arm sconce is centered by a most elegant tapered central support with a lovely bottom foliate acorn finial and fine overlapping designs in a rich satin and burnished finish. Above are impressive and finely detailed patinated bronze winged maidens draped in flowing period garments seemingly holding the arms. The arms display most decorative scrolled Rinceau designs adorned with exceptional acanthus leaves with floral candle cups and beaded bulb covers.
