18th Century, English Trumeau Mirror with Oil Painting
About the Item
Absolutely grand, hand carved, veneered and gold gilded, late 18th century. Frame inset with both original, mercury glass, and a large oil-on-canvas naval scene featuring French ships at sea. The whole surmounted neoclassical style cornice above a relief-carved winged cherub flanked by floral garlands.
