A stunning silhouette defines this gorgeous trumeau mirror, with classic Louis XV style. The heavily carved and beveled ‘broken pediment’ shaped crown is surmounted by a large open carved scroll of roses, flourishes, and ribbons. Beveled trim on the large paneled upper trumeau surrounds a center carved French shell with additional floral and foliate carvings.
Beveled edges on the shaped, serpentine mirror. Excellent style and dark finish, perfect to compliment any décor, from French Provincial to French Country or traditional; circa 1880.
