About the Item
An Italian round-shaped mirror with large sun motif at center, from the late 19th century. This antique wall decoration from Italy features a sun-shaped design with a round glass/mirror at its center, thickly framed within a carved-wood surround with beaded trim at inner and outer perimeter, and having an explosion of blazing sun-rays emerging outwardly. The wood frame has a burnished red and golden orange finish, which is not new but not original. Note that there are some bubbles in the mirrored glass, and some slight warping to the surround that is seen from the side at wall (please view additional images). This 19th century Italian carved sun-ray mirror, approximately 2 feet in diameter, will be a great accent piece adding a rich pop of color and textural interest to your wall.
