19th century Giltwood and Églomisé American Federal Mirror

About the Item

Detailed early 19th century American federal églomisé, or reverse painted giltwood mirror featuring a primitive house with three chimneys. It came from a Philadelphia home and is in very good condition for the age; note some loss to gilding and silver loss to the mirror. In the picture of the top of the mirror, the wire nails show. They were used to attach the small gilt balls to the underside of the mirror. See measurements below.
