A spectacular and monumental pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. giltwood mirrors. Each original mirror plate is framed within a striking and richly carved twisted and beaded pattern. The thick striking frame displays detailed carvings of foliate and beaded patterns and a Fine twisted foliate and floral band. At each corner are block reserves with elegant scrolled foliate elements while above is the most elegant and striking pierced top crown with rich foliate movements and a central Fleur de Lys in a beautiful satin and burnished finish.
