Wonderful Early to Mid-20th Century Art Moderne solid maple twin bed headboard & footboard, small 3 drawer chest or cabinet, and 2 drawer nightstand in the style of Bissman and after Russel Wright for Conant Ball. These pieces have been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials however, it is not signed or marked in any way. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, no outstanding flaws detected just a beautiful original finish with all its wonderful age patina. This is a spectacular solid maple 3-piece bedroom set composed of a twin sized headboard and footboard, a small 3 drawer chest or cabinet, and a nightstand. This set is a classic beauty with an Art Moderne style that you are sure to love for years to come. It is designed in a style after Russel Wright for Conant Ball or Bissman. My mother (who is a retired interior designer and has been identifying vintage pieces since before I was born… and I am vintage myself!!) believes the actual style is a copy after Russel Wright (especially with the design of these spectacular handles!!) but the construction leads her to believe it’s Bissman. It is not marked, but no matter, it is INCREDIBLE!! The design world calls these transition pieces… of the era when pieces transitioned between the Art Deco period and the Mid-Century Modern period, during the early portion of the 20th century. Ahhhhh, the good ‘ol days!! LOVE IT!!! The maple bears a beautiful natural shade and it features clean lines, a timeless presence, and simple design sure to blend in beautifully with any décor. The bed bears a beautiful rectangular shape with lovely, hand-carved, or hand-sculpted rounded edges, and we will include metal siderails upon purchase. Next, we have a marvelous cabinet or petite chest of drawers comprised of solid maple featuring three stacked drawers with phenomenal hand carved or hand sculpted bowl shaped handles, rather like oversized cup pulls, and fantastic sled style legs. Its size is comparable to a bachelor’s chest… a bit smaller than a standard chest of drawers but it has adequate storage space inside those functional drawers!! And last, but CERTAINLY not least… we present a stunning solid maple nightstand featuring two stacked drawers and the matching fabulous hand sculpted bowl-shaped handles and handsome sled style legs. We think this set would be fabulous utilized in a children’s bedroom and you could use both pieces as nightstands as they are equal in height! It would also work wonderfully in a college dorm, guest bedroom, or in an industrial loft apartment! Awesome vintage Mid-Century Modern walnut & cane flip top storage twin headboards, a pair. Specifically, the interior storage space has been painted black to finish it off. But even though the tops have been sanded, there are still some stubborn stains on both tops. The interior of the storage space has been painted black and they are lined with natural cedar… no moths allowed!! Marvelous vintage Mid-Century Modern headboard Lane Furniture Tower Suite Collection comprised of walnut and rosewood. Sometimes the best thing to do first thing in the morning is go right back to bed! And honestly, with a bed this beautiful, you may never want to get up!!! This is an INCREDIBLE full or queen sized “Tower Suite Collection” headboard by Lane Furniture!! It bears a lovely contrast of a walnut frame and fabulous decorative rosewood inlays across the front and both sides. This is a classic beauty with a Mid-Century Modern style that you are sure to love for years to come. It is going to be gorgeous in your bedroom! All you need is a full or queen-sized mattress and a Hollywood frame OR if you don’t mind the opinion of my mom, who is an EXCEPTIONAL retired interior designer… She would have a hanging mechanism or wall cleat made so that you can attach it to the wall and lift it a little higher, use a platform rather than a Hollywood frame, and toss out the box springs as mattresses today are much taller than they used to be. Annnnnd, Voila! Maximum exposure of the headboard! If that sounds like something you would be interested in, we would be happy to provide a wall cleat upon purchase of the headboard. This is a gorgeous example of high-quality craftsmanship constructed with exquisite woods and attention to detail quintessential of Lane Furniture. You simply can’t go wrong! Lane was founded in 1912 by Edward Hudson Lane at the age of 21, upon his father’s suggestion after he, John Edward Lane, bought a small packing-box plant in Altavista, Virginia.
