About the Item

Lovely pair of French 1950's fer forge and perforated steel neo-classical 'chevets' or nightstands / side tables in the manner of Matthieu Mategot (see original catalog page from Mategot and note striking similarity). Total height is 27 inches and 22.75 inches from floor to the top of the horizontal rods which frame the top shelf which is recessed so that drinks etc. do not slide off. The tray surface of the shelf is ~21.75" from the floor.
