A single mid-century modern blackened iron framed étagère with inset painted wood and glass shelves and wood balls for feet and finials. This came out of the post-war modern craze for steel and wire frame decorative furniture and objects, such as those for Woodlin Hall by Tony Paul, Archie Kaplan, Sol Bloom, Andree Ferris & Reta Shacknove, Freda Diamond and French designer Mathieu Mategot.
