This is a large antique book, The Baronial Halls of England Volume 1. An English language reference guide, dated to the mid Victorian period, published 1858. Full title: The Baronial Halls, and Ancient Picturesque Edifices of England. From the drawings by J.D. Harding, G. Cattermole S. Prout, W. Müller, J. Holland and other eminent artists. Accentuated with superb coloured lithotints, with external and interior views of stately homes. This volume 1 edition printed in London by Willis & Sotheran, 1858. Presented in good antique order - lightly time-worn, intact bar one loose lithograph page Bound in green textured cloth with leather spine and corners, gilt titling and trim Superb frontispiece depicts the entrance of Hengrave Hall in Suffolk Full page lithography with text interspersed with smaller engravings Some coloration towards the rear, but in legible order This is a charming antique reference book, the Baronial Halls of England, with fascinating lithography throughout.
