About the Item
A gorgeous old fashioned antique lorgnette with a refined design on the handle. This pair of eyeglasses or opera glasses feature a "folding" frames that overlap one another. The lenses snap open into an eyeglasses shape just pressing a tiny lever on the handle in order to have a pair of spectacles. The glasses open into the shape of a pair of glasses by simply pressing a small lever on the handle to obtain a pair of glasses. The lens glass is in excellent condition and is held in place by decoratively framed silver frame. The handle is richly ornamented. The glasses’ handle ends with a tiny loop so you can wear them on a chain! The measurements given in dimensions section refers to the item in folded condition. When unfolded it is approx. 4 1/4" high, 5 1/2" wide and 1/2" deep. Comes with a leather bag. Silver is marked 835.
