About the Item

Very elegant Compact in black and gold lacquered gilt metal. Art Deco period. Golden border around the edge Golden interior. Winged dragon motifs in the center and geometric shapes. Beautiful symmetry of the typical Art Deco pattern. It contains a Mirror and its original Puff. Stamped "Graziella France" around the mirror and "Graziella France Deposed" at the bottom of the powder compartment. The compact has an ideal size to be carried in a pocket or a handbag. Its elegant pattern and colors will make it a magnificent decorative object on a dressing table. Graziella comes from Latin and means grace, charm. It is the first name of the heroine of the love novel by a famous French author, Lamartine, in the middle of the 19th century. A pretty name is therefore well chosen for a Parisian French cosmetics brand from the beginning of the 20th century.
