About the Item

Every year a well-known Danish artist designs the Georg Jensen Christmas Ornament. In its many incarnations over the years it has become a tradition representative of Danish handcrafts - and a much-loved decorations in many homes. This year the artist Regitze Overgaard has once again designed the Christmas ornament for Georg Jensen. For the year 2000 she had been inspired by the millennial change and the many shooting stars if the night sky. This year Regitze Overgaard has rendered the snow, parties, songs and atmosphere of Christmas in a simple poinsettia. The leaves twist and show Regitze Overgaard's fantastic ability to make the heavy metal look light and alive. The corolla of the flowers us formed by 6 small cubic zircons that will make Christmas twinkle in all homes, great and small. The poinsettia, which is No. 18 in the series of Christmas ornaments, is made of gilt brass with a red date ribbon for hanging.
