Pair of 19th C. Italian Reliquaries

About the Item

19th century pair of ornate gilded relicquaries made of brass with a gilt finish. The feature highly decorative Baroque or Rococo-style detailing, including intricate scrollwork, floral motifs, and cherub faces at the base. Each piece has an oval glass compartment at its center, which traditionally would hold a relic or sacred image.
