Solid oak with original red lacquered elements.
Comes with the original red lacquered removable zinc drip tray!
Marked with original stamp.
We have the matching coat rack also for sale.
In very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
The Modernist look of this wonderful Art Deco umbrella stand is also known in the Netherlands under the name Haagse School. The Haagse School was inspired by the designs of the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The famous Dutch Art Magazine Wendingen published a series of articles on Frank Lloyd Wright in 1925. Well known architects of the Haagse School are Hendrik Wouda, Jan Wils, Frits Spanjaard, Cor Alons and Jan Brunott.
