About the Item

Moooi dutch sky blue rug in low pile polyamide by Edward van Vliet After his graduation from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 1989 – Edward belongs to the famous generation of Dutch designers who have been causing international sensation for many years now - in 1991 he started designing patterns and product. With his own design Studio Edward van Vliet now works on various projects in the areas of product, textile and interior design for both national and international clients. Delftware. Fine, flowing lines of cobalt blue on almost translucent white. Perhaps typically Dutch but heavily influenced by eastern craftsmanship and styles. Like the seventeenth century potters borrowed Asian techniques and attention to detail, these designs make use of Japanese graphic abstractions of cloudy skies. Rekindling the cultural exchange between far-away nations in new interpretations. Dutch Sky is available in three different colour schemes; Dutch Sky Blue, Dutch Sky Grey and Dutch Sky Gold”.
