About the Item

Antique South Caucasian Karabagh or Armenian Kazak rug with triple linked medallion with an X box border. A superb example of a Karabagh or Armenian Kazak rug. The medallions are surrounded by tribal elements. The rug has a well drawn X box border. The dark indigo blue field is filled with floral rosettes and small animals along with two large human figures with long arms and big hands. The rug is in excellent condition with even wear and medium / low pile. Suitable for light domestic use. The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display. Additional information: Origin: South Caucasus Age: Circa 1900 Size: 7ft 7in x 4ft 1in (230 x 125cm) Reference: R-1956.
