About the Item
Kazak knotted carpets originally come from the Caucasus region.
A Kazak is characterised by geometric patterns and figures and striking colours.
This Kazak was hand-knotted in the style of Caucasian rugs and impresses with its high robustness and vibrant colors.
It thus reflects the culture of the Caucasus in a beautiful composition.
A culture that has mastered the art of carpet weaving for centuries and presents it to the outside world with charmingly simple shapes
in impressively vibrant colors.
This rug is made from hand-spun sheep's wool of the highest quality. In Persia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Turkey in particular,
the wool is spun by hand before the actual knotting of the rug begins.
Over the centuries, wool has proven to be a natural and extremely hard-wearing material. Among other things, it has dirt-repellent
and heat-insulating properties.
