DESCRIPTION: Samarkand Rug, circa 1930, Turkestan. Very decorative rug made with hand-knotted, 100% pure wool pile. CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. Recently reupholstered. DIMENSIONS: Length: 288cm (113.39in) Width: 156cm (61.42in) ABOUT THE DESIGNER: The Samarkand carpet reflects the fine weaving traditions of the ancient Uzbek tribes. Dazzling classic motifs, reminiscent of those created in the oasis cities of East Turkestan, shine through a hand-knotted, 100% pure wool pile. Traditional in style, these exquisite rugs will add a distinctive accent to the décor of any dining room, great room, or executive business office.
