ABOUT THE STYLE: Art Deco was an artistic and design movement that emerged in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century, mainly in Europe and the United States. It was characterized by its modern, geometric and elegant style, inspired by the architecture, plastic arts and fashion of the time. Art Deco was characterized by using geometric shapes and straight lines, as well as striking and contrasting colors. It was also characterized by its use of luxurious materials such as marble, metal and glass, and by its motifs inspired by nature, the ancient world and modern technology. In the field of art, Art Deco was reflected in paintings, sculptures and graphic works that reflected the aesthetics of the movement. In architecture, you can find numerous examples of buildings built in the Art Deco style, with their ornate facades, geometric shapes and decorative details. Although Art Deco had its heyday in the 1920s and 1930s, its influence has endured to the present day and continues to be a source of inspiration for contemporary designers, architects and artists.
