On the design: The play of the rich, regal gold and red hues with the more muted, subtle blue and silver tones brings out the range of the silk’s natural sheen, itself complementing the sense of movement and length in this mirrored, kaleidoscopic floral pattern and its skillful variations of definition; an achievement in capturing classic European rug sensibilities with modern features.
