Vintage Circa 1940 Hand-knotted Afghan Rug

About the Item

This vintage, circa 1940 Afghan rug has a soft terracotta-red field with a central column of six chocolate-brown linked lozenges each containing central similar lozenges flanked at each side by pairs of similar smaller lozenges, in a dusty-terracotta-rose border of angular floral motifs linked by angular serrated leaves between fox-brown linked lozenge stripes, an inner terracotta-red panel stripe between similar fox-brown stripes.
