Antique Chinese Art Deco Rug, circa 1910
About the Item
This carpet is hand knotted in China. The Magnificent palace size rug has a simple deco design with a long tree-symbol of life on one side and three birds-symbols of freedom flying in the middle.
The beautiful tan-beige fields decorated at one corner with green, red, maroon and violets makes this rug a classic example of a period Art Deco rug. There is one small professional restoration at one corner ,not visible at all on the face of the rug and otherwise is in full pile and excellent condition.
