This antique, circa 1900, Khotan rug features a field with three lozenge medallions each with a central light grey-blue lozenge surrounded by plum, sandy-yellow and buff-brown stripes containing floral motifs surrounded by a light grey-blue similar broad stripe, similar part lozenges at each side, in a light blue angular stellar flowerhead vine border between chocolate-brown dot-motif stripes, the inner triple sandy-yellow, aubergine-purple and light blue floral vine and zig-zag stripes, double outer soft-yellow floral vine and plain blue stripes.
