Vintage Pink Persian Fine Silk Qom Carpet
Located in Dallas, TX
78681 Vintage Persian Silk Qum Rug, 04'03 x 06'04. In the realm of regal enchantment and sensuous richness, behold the resplendent allure of this fine hand-knotted silk vintage Persian Qum rug. Woven with meticulous artistry, the elaborate floral design, combined with a light and airy color palette, unveil Iran's craftsmanship that captures the very essence of sensual decadence. At the heart of this Persian masterpiece lies a prominent round medallion, resplendent with opulent frondescence, lavishly appointed in the center of the composition. Delicate rinceau and acanthus, woven with exquisite detail, encircle the medallion in a dance of sophistication. Equally distributed on either end of the medallion are trefoil palmette pendants. Rosettes, hyacinth, leaves, and floral blossoms rhythmically intertwine with arabesque vines, casting a mesmerizing spell against the silky pink field. The ornate embellishments alone are sufficient to captivate the senses, but it is the extraordinary use of color that elevates this silk Qum rug to unparalleled heights. Elaborate corner spandrels, adorned with botanical cascades, seamlessly amalgamate into the composition, creating a symphony of visual opulence. The decadent floral border, accompanied by leafy rosette guard borders, encircle this woven wonder, evoking a lush enclosure that transcends time. Emulating opulence and grace, this vintage Persian silk Qum rug exudes an enchanting ambiance rooted in formality and timeless elegance. From the emotional exuberance of Baroque to the lavish opulence of Rococo, this pink Persian rug...

1960's Colorful Persian Gabbeh Carpet with Modern Style
By Theo van Doesburg, Karl Benjamin
Located in Dallas, TX
61165 Vintage Persian Checkered Gabbeh Rug, 06'05 x 08'05. A mesmerizing fusion of tradition and modern artistry, this hand-knotted wool vintage Persian Gabbeh rug is a masterful composition of color, texture, and symbolism. Its captivating checkerboard design is more than a visual delight—it is a reflection of centuries-old nomadic weaving traditions, where each square holds meaning, and every hue tells a story. The richly abrashed field, infused with warm and cool tones, forms a rhythmic mosaic of alternating blocks, evoking the timeless beauty of handcrafted textiles passed down through generations. Deeply rooted in Persian tribal culture, the signature checkerboard pattern is a stylized representation of the barley motif, a powerful symbol of fertility, abundance, and prosperity. This design, often seen in Gabbeh rugs, reflects the connection between the weaver and nature, as well as the belief in the cyclical renewal of life. Framed by an exclusive border adorned with smaller geometric forms, the Gabbeh rug achieves a harmonious balance, reinforcing the sense of structure within its free-spirited composition. Echoing the bold experimentation of Cubism and the avant-garde principles of the Bauhaus movement, this exquisite work of art feels remarkably modern despite its traditional roots. The graphic color-blocking and play of contrasting shades draw inspiration from pioneering artists such as Karl Benjamin...

Ararat Rugs Kerman Vase Technique Carpet 17th Century Revival Rug, Natural Dyed
By Ararat Rugs
Located in Tokyo, JP
The source of carpet comes from the book Museo Calouste Gulbenkian, Printed by Gulbenkian Museum Lisbon, in 2015, nr.52. This is a vase-technique carpet design in the 17th century in the Kerman region, of Persia. In the 16th century, in Safavid Persia, medallion rugs were among the most appreciated, but at the end of the century and the beginning of the next, a taste for decoration with floral motifs, coils, and palmettes gradually emerged, covering the entire field. This is the case, for this example design, with rugs from eastern and southern Persia. Among the latter are the famous vase-type rugs attributed to the Kerman region, to which our design belongs. Considered by some specialists to be quite atypical, this rug made in Persia, probably in Kirman in the time of Shah Abbas (1587-1625), presents, on a dark blue background, an exuberant and dynamic vegetal decoration in which horizontal and vertical rows of palmettes and stand out, due to their dimension and spiral movements, large sickle-shaped leaves, alternating with branches and flowers. The very narrow rim, with a red background, is filled with a frieze of coils and flowers. It’s a famous carpet design as ‘Kerman Vase Technique Rug, The Most Expensive Rug...
