Square Shaped Antique Baktiary with Teal Green Center Medallion
About the Item
This nearly square medallion carpet probably comes from the top quality Chal-Shotor or Chal-Mazar villages of the Chahar Mahal area famous for “Bakhtiari” rugs. A teal green medallion with coral sub-medallion is set on the sand field, supported with strong, wandering vinery with buds. Corners with big teal pendants. Striated abrashed green border with cartouches. A step beyond the usual garden pattern and more in the urban style. On cotton, symmetric knots.
