8x11.8 Ft Vintage Hand-knotted Antique Washed Turkish Oushak Wool Rug
About the Item
A large, finely hand-knotted vintage Turkish Oushak area rug from the 1950s with a classical design of large rosettes floating in its field and floral and leafy vines depicted in an eternally graceful and circular form of movement filling the rest of the space. The free sense of space and movement in the field is contrasted with the busy detail and formality of the border, which is decorated with repeating rosettes, palmettes, dainty floral vines and large serrated leaves. The color palette is made up of very soft, earthy tones with accents of light mauve, coral pink, soft grayish green and beige on a golden sand background.
The rug has even low wool pile on cotton foundation. It is heavy and lays flat on the floor. It is in very good condition with no issues, sturdy, suitable for use in commercial and residential interiors and professionally cleaned.
