About the Item

The name Ada comes from the Turkish word for island. With its flowing yet sharp lines, playful side fringes and colors taken from nature, Ada gives references to island life. Inspired by the beautiful islands of the Aegean and Mediterranean, Ada aspires to bring the island spirit full of nature and sea to the interior space. Ada kilim rugs merge the sensibilities of centuries old craft traditions of Anatolian kilim weaving with a modern, artisanal and sensual design approach. Inspired by cultural craft traditions and the beautiful Aegean islands, Ada kilim establishes a contemporary expression at the intersection of design, craft and art. Handwoven by Anatolian weavers using 100% sheep wool, Ada aims to whisper the Aegean spirit to the everyday life of interiors. Ada kilims are handwoven by skilled Anatolian weavers based on kilim weaving technique (flat-weave). As our kilims are handwoven, there may be slight variations in colors, size and shapes. The handwoven nature gives each kilim rug its one and only and distinctive character. Material: 100% wool Dimensions: 120 cm x 180 cm Can be customized in dimensions and colors. Production lead time for custom orders is around 9-10 weeks.
