Antique Oushak with Rust Field and Center Medallion
About the Item
A giant, hooked cartouche-medallion mostly covers the rust-red field. A central cartouche sub-medallion shows a boldly volute hooked focus, and the stepped corners nearly contact the medallion, creating an obvious visual tension, Narrow, abrashed border of hooked small diamonds. Coarse weave, good condition.
