Antique Sivas Carpet with A Pale Blue Field and a Chevron Border

About the Item

The extensively abrashed pale blue field shows a five by seven even array of hexagons and hexagonal palmettes, in shades of rust, slate, cream and straw. Small stars fill in the interstices, in a general Turkmen style overall. The cream main border show angularly voluted chevrons, changing direction at the middle of all four sides. Rug Size 13' 5" x 19' 7"
