Antique Turkish area rug handwoven from the finest sheep’s wool. It’s colored with all-natural vegetable dyes that are safe for humans and pets. It’s a traditional Tulu design handwoven by expert artisans. It’s a lovely area rug that can be incorporated with virtually any home interior design. It has a dimension of 4'10" x 12'11" which works well for living rooms, hallways and bedrooms.
Tulu is derived from the Turkish word ‘tüylü’ which translates to ‘hairy.’ It’s the perfect description for this type of rug known for its thick pile and simple design patterns. Tulu Turkish rugs look similar to the Persian Gabbeh and Moroccan tribal pieces popular all over the world. Aside from its gorgeous colors and minimalist details, Tulu rugs are great for homes situated in cold regions. The fine wool is ultra-soft and provides a lovely warmth to the feet.
