Antique Turkish Hereke Rug 6'7'' x 9'10''. Silk Hereke rugs are almost always in Persianate styles. Here the light red brown field displays two full and two half important pearl-tone, scalloped escutcheons, along with a central rosette and tilted, textured palmettes. Border of palmettes and complex vinery interlace. All silk. Extremely fine with a very short pile. Opulent and luxurious. Good condition.
