A Beautiful Soft Washed Out and Faded Large Antique Turkish Oushak Rug, Country of Origin: Turkey, Circa date: 1920 – This mesmerizing antique Turkish Oushak carpet has a monumental medallion composition rendered in an elegant palette of oxidized pastels. The alluring low-contrast decorations cast a veil of elegance over the palatial field and stately borders. The blushing apricot-tone ground contains an angular lozenge-shaped medallion with latch-hook extensions that are mirrored in the coordinating spandrels. Scrolling botanical motifs and buff protection symbols are tastefully obscured by the low-contrast color palette, which has a powerful air of elegance and sophistication. The complementary borders and delicate ecru guard bands feature a host of faint botanical figures and scrolling vines that reflect the beautiful motifs and chic colors that define the field.
