This antique west Anatolian workshop carpet shows a sand field centered by a graphite blue sharply stepped medallion with a central octogram. Geometric vines, bud quatrefoils, and arrowheaded octagons decorate the field while a light blue-grey border shows simple rosettes and hyacinth sprays.
