Turkish traditional patterns meet rich colors and an intimate patina in this distressed antique Turkish Oushak rug. A niche motif, typical of prayer rugs, anchors the composition with a red center field and arrowhead finial. Meanwhile a saffron backdrop brightens the overall tone to a warm effect. A large floral bouquet appears in the center surrounded by four smaller ones below three mosque lamps suspended from above. Red symbolic motifs appear in the saffron backdrop including single X's, impaled paired X's, and arrows. The niche is bordered on either side by a serrated edge meanwhile a multicolor border with organic shapes frames the composition.
