This hand knotted wool distressed vintage Turkish Sivas rug features a color blocked plain field and border festooned with gorgeous floral motifs. A large spray of budding flowers, open blossom, leaves, and curling tendrils elegantly floats in the center of the field, while additional garlands gracefully scroll across the corners and ends of the piece. Gentle waves of abrash and variations in wear give the lovely design added visual interest and texture. The lustrous color palette is sophisticated and calming; the floral motifs delicately rendered in shades of pink, yellow, blue and green are stunning when set against the soft green tones of the field and border. With its harmonious composition, elegant floral detailing, and just the right amount of age wear, this Zeki Muren-inspired distressed vintage Turkish Sivas rug would bring a sense of luxury and romance to any space.
